Some definitions
Break down
Is a situation happening in the Republic of Albania, during the time of your cover as shown on your Insurance Plan, when you cannot drive your vehicle because of mechanical or electrical failure, fire, theft, or attempted theft or malicious damage.
The definition of breakdown includes flat tyres, running out of fuel, a flat battery or losing or breaking your vehicle keys. You can call us out if your vehicle becomes stuck in water, snow, sand or mud or if something in your vehicle stops working that makes it illegal or dangerous to drive there and then. For example, if your windscreen wipers stop working when it is raining or your head lamps do not work and it is dark.
Otherwise you need to drive to the nearest car accessories shop or garage to have the part fixed for yourself.
You cannot use this cover as an alternative to routine servicing or as a way to get out of paying for repair costs and so you will have to pay for the replacement parts and the labour fees. We will do our best to ensure that any fees are reasonable.
The vehicle must maintained in accordance with the manufacturers recommendations, such as keeping the required levels of oil and water correctly.
